I wanted to drive up but there are reports that the cops have closed the highway.
I would be most grateful if you could send some of that cold air half way around the globe and across the equator to Texas. Tired of the heat…
Hi Jimmy. Katya and I went up to Katoomba at 5.15 am and we were met with some impressive snow falls around Leura and Katoomba before 7 am. I have never seen snow at Katoomba and the first ever for Katya. Police did close the highway at 6.45 am due to heavy snow, ice and black ice but reopened it at around 7.30 am. There was a magnificent snow fall before 8 am. We continued onto the Oberon Plateau and went as far as the road block at Hampton. Again impressive snow fall, big flakes and wonderful scenery. The road at Hampton was closed by Police as it was clear the snow depth was getting quite deep in places.
