This was a nice surprise and went supercell as it hit near Katoomba and north towards Bell
Went for a storm chase to the Blue Mountains and litereally drove to a developing supercell! After stopping near Katoomba after getting structure, I headed back north playing catchup to see what the hail size
was. Some occasional large thumps on the vehicle indicated at least golf balls but as I neared Bell, the size were larger and there were hail drifts!Not for Media Use Licensing Available at www.extremestorms.com.au
