One of the big time events. After a period where storm chasing was not going to plan nailed this one perfectly.
30 minutes of hail
West of Ebor mid afternoon. The storm developed ESE of Armidale and moved generally ENE until it got close to my position - then made a move north! Supercell behaviour. The storm had a nice base with green
tinge evident. It produced hailstones to 6cm from what I could gather and it seemed to be about a 10km wide swathe. Not for Media Use Available for Licensing contact Jimmy Deguara www.extremestorms.com.au

Another great chase i see Jimmy Deguara, I so love your write ups Jimmy Deguara.
You hanging around this area for tomorrow ?
I have not viewed the dents as yet but based on the sound the car is christened finally hail greater than 5cm given the shapes the melt was happening with all the rain but it seems quite consistent to say 6cm as a max benchmark
Great pics! Glad someone got to see it at one of its best periods
Pics look great well done mate
