Mutlicells and Supercells Wyoming 9th June 2018

· by Jimmy Deguara

Low key day but fun to once again meet up with Anthony Cornelius and Michael Bath and friends arrived soon thereafter. Played around with a few multicells though left the south side cells and aimed for the northern one.

Then of course we went to Devil’s Tower. Our aim was to get sunset here and perhaps mammatus. But we went a few more miles for a little lightning as we waited. I took interest in a developing base. We investigated this and found the base produced nice consolidation and organisation along strong convergence of sorts! The cell exploded literally above us. (Later on radar we found this to be a split). It showed impressive rotation which was filmed! It shrunk upwards soon after!
