The north coast, particularly the region and around Grafton and Coffs Harbour bracing themselves for flooding and strong winds early this weekend with falls of up to 300mm. As the low nears the coastline, strong winds will cause concerns for beach erosion.
The low is expected to progress down the coastline and affect the Hunter, Sydney and Illawarra region. Consequently, a severe weather warning has been issued for the north eastern part of the NSW coastline including heavy rain and strong winds.
Heavy rain here in Schofields in squallls and brief downpours 12:36am and the rain moves in to the Sydney region.
Likewise down the road here in Quakers
We just had a strong squally downpour here. Should probably change the name of this discussion to include Sydney and the Hunter regions.
Kempsey affected by major flooding including the CBD areas being given evacuation orders. Grafton has been under two major floods in a month!
