Chased the storms approaching near Richmond today. They were reasonably spectacular contrast wise and likely produced some hail. the obviously lined out and became outflow dominant
I did not proceed to chase into the Putty Road and apparently there was a serious accident with car overturned probably caused by the storm itself on the Putty Road! I briefly gave chase to to storms approaching Appin but carefully planned the chase ready to pull out and did so just prior to entering the M7. The storms were on the down hill run.
Posted the latest images from today's chase – not base contrast I guess.

Cheers Colin. The storm was looking good as it approached and quite lightning active in its mature stage. at least it was more of a local chase and not 6 hours of driving!
Video of storm at Richmond which is a timelapse with lightning thrown in.
