Really enjoyed this! Certainly made for a great end to the day
The chase yesterday 13th March 2017 was a decent result for what could have been a fail. The first storm near Dunedoo (Gulgong) tried and had a nice consolidated high contrast base and some nice lightning. We
then were in limbo and finally decided to head to Coonabarabran and NW towards Pilliga for the second storm! That made my day with a nice wall cloud coming into view and green colouration! Video to come for this but not of the wall cloud sadly as we were attempting the storm further north. We then decided to head for Wee Waa and alas the storm further north had weakened! Errr just when we though it was over, a right mover steam-rolled SE towards us as we headed away towards Narrabri. A pleasing day overall - thanks to Leonie Louise Sunshine for sharing the driving - certainly helps in decision making! Thanks also for my lack of sleep haha I came back home 2am and woke up for work 6:20amSource
Is it nighttime?
No I took a picture of my screen with the picture loaded on the computer as we travelled home last night
I will upload the better image when I get a chance
Michael Keene do u reckon this is what we could see in the distance?
This was S of Pilliga
looks like the main 3 cells were well covered then! wish we’d been a bit further west to be on the cell when it formed.
Awesome collection of pics mate well done
Thanks Colin Bryant it was worthwhile in the end.

What do others think of what science is going on jn the video
Leonie is a great chase partner. I chased with her on her trip with #TempestTours. Her time was evenly split between learning meteorology and teaching the boys. (Just kidding, Leonie)
