The Bureau of Meteorology have issued this low pressure system that has traversed the north west of Western Australia for the past few days as a tropical low. There concern about the possibility that this could have developed into a tropical cyclone - but ordinarily this would occur over the ocean and its track overall seems to parallel the coastline remaining virtually over land.
Meanwhile heavy rainfall and flooding continues in its wake whilst residence in areas such as Kununurra are in clean up mode with up to a metre of water in the town. This tropical low will require close monitoring.
